You can populate your entire roster in one operation by importing a CSV file. This can be done on the web app.
Before importing your roster, consider creating custom attributes (sub-groups - refer here). Once you have your custom attributes set up, you can include them in your import file. For example, if you created a custom attribute "Level" with two values (Beginner, Advanced), you can include a column "Level" in your import file and assign one of the two values to each student. You can have multiple custom attributes for each group.
To begin importing your roster, login to your Keedgo account on your computer, select your group and follow the steps requested by the importing tool (see snapshot below). You can import all of the fields that appear in the member’s profile (for example, contact details, authorized pick-ups, special notes, etc.). Staff members cannot be imported. If you reimport your roster with new members, the previously imported members will not be duplicated. If you need any help with the importing process, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Whether you're onboarding your group via this import process or one-by-one (refer here), the minimum information you need to input is: Student First Name, Student Last Name and one of Member Email or Member Phone or Parent1 Email or Parent1 phone.
For example, you want to onboard a new student John Brown. Let's say that students in your program will not use the app themselves (they are too young or you only care about communicating with parents). In this case, to onboard John, at minimum you need the student's first name (John), last (Brown) and contact information (email or cell phone number) for one of his parents.
If you do want John to use the app, then you can onboard John with his first and last name and his contact information (email or cell phone number).
In other words, to onboard John you always need to input his first and last name and either his contact information (email or cell phone), or one of his parents, or both.
In total Keedgo currently allows three individuals to be part of a member's roster profile: the student him/herself, primary contact (for example, the first parent) and secondary contact (for example, second parent). Any invited contact can invite one of the remaining two during the sign up process, as they complete their profile. Invited members can identify themselves with the following labels: "mother", "father", "legal guardian or Other"
Keedgo can invite members by either email or phone. To see what parents receive refer here.
