Announcements is a great way to communicate with your entire group (or sub-groups if you have custom attributes set up). Note that while the Keedgo app is convenient for sending announcements on the go, on the web app you can apply basic formatting options (e.g. fonts or insert links) to the body of your announcement.
As the owner or admin staff, you can create announcements and select 3 types of notifications: a) mobile aka "push", b) email, c) sms. You can choose all three types of notifications (for example, for urgent announcements):
You can schedule announcements to go out at a future date - please click on "Send on" to use this feature.
Parents and staff can easily access all of the announcements in one place and will see badges for the unread ones.
Here's what parents see for different types of notifications:
Keedgo mobile push:
When parents click on the notification, they are taken straight to the announcement in their app and, if they have a question or response, can send a message (pink messaging widget in the bottom right corner) to all staff by typing a general message or selecting one of the pre-defined templates:
Note the message will go to all staff (not other parents in the group) and any staff member can reply. To preserve its users' privacy and minimize distractions, Keedgo doesn't allow multi-parent group messaging.
The "Send email notifications" check box sends your announcement by email. In this case even those members who haven’t accepted your invitation to join the app will get your communication. The email will come from email@example.com. Note that currently Keedgo doesn't support sending communication from custom-domain emails.
