Keedgo organizes all the information shared by your staff and parents around groups. You can run multiple groups. A group can be your recurring afterschool activity, class, camp or location; you can also run a group with staff members only for internal communication.
To create a new group, click on the plus sign in the top right corner. When you create your first group, Keedgo will prompt you to pick a subscription plan. Please select one of our standard plans or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you require a custom plan.
To edit or archive a group, expand the group tool bar and click on the information menu on the left, then click on the pencil in the top right corner to edit.
We recommend using your brand in the group name (for example, Bebright Afterschool, instead of simply Afterschool). This will allow your customers to instantly recognize the source of received communication.
Groups consist of two types of users: staff and parents. Each type of user has different access permissions and capabilities in the app. For example, some staff can schedule events and send announcements. Parents can make event reservations, can use messaging to connect with staff, and can view all the shared information such as announcements, documents, etc.
Note that you can assign different labels to your members (“Kids”, “Students”, “Players”, etc.)
When creating or editing a group, you can choose (checkbox “Hide roster data from other members”) whether to make your roster visible to parents. For example, you can make it visible if your members are closely connected and will benefit from seeing each other’s details. Even when you choose to share the roster, parents will have full control over what they share with other parents by adjusting their privacy settings.
